The Wheel of Fifths Songwriting Tool is an intuitive and easy-to-use songwriting and compositional tool that is perfect for any musician – whether you are learning how to play the guitar, ukulele, bass or piano. The tool, which is based on intervals and the circle of fifths, helps you internalise all the fundamentals for music composition in a fun and accessible way, allowing you to quickly create and navigate scales and chord progressions on any melodic instrument. It is designed to deepen your understanding of music theory, so you can seamlessly integrate theory into your playing.

To use the Wheel of Fifths Songwriting Tool you don’t need to have any prior knowledge of music theory. All essential concepts and theories are explained on the back of the product. The tool helps you understand intervals, chords, major and minor scales, relative major and minor keys, parallel major and minor keys, chord progressions, harmonic function, the use of non-diatonic chords and much more. Besides helping you creating your own melodies and harmonies, the tool can be used to quickly transpose songs to different keys.

The Wheel of Fifths Songwriting Tool teaches you:
How to read notes
How intervals work
How to play all major and minor chords
How the notes in major and minor scales can be found
How to find relative major and relative minor scales
How to use parallel major and parallel minor scales
How to create your own chord progressions
The harmonic functions of chords in a chord progression
The use of non-diatonic and borrowed chords
Music transposition and using key changes in a song

The result? Greater musical freedom when writing, playing and improvising.

A Fantastic Explanation of the Circle of Fifths

I recently purchased two Wheel of Fifths songwriting tools. First, the delivery to Germany, door to door, took 3 days ... that's service! Next, I asked Rogier for a Zoom lesson to explain how it works. His patience during the lesson on how the Wheel works and detailed explanation of the back text was brilliant. His knowledge as a musician helped me analyze songs I already play and I made some amazing discoveries on how songs are written, will now try writing my own ... thanks Rogier!
